Damage estimates from the past week's floods are climbing.

State emergency management officials said Thursday that 418
homes and 62 businesses have sustained damage, up from 372 homes
and 57 businesses on Wednesday.

The floods have caused at least $9.1 million in damage to public
infrastructure around the state, up from $4.5 million Wednesday.
Those totals could easily grow. Local emergency officials
continue to update their reports and the state has invited federal
emegency workers to assess infrastructure in eight counties.

Authorities say the Wisconsin River continues to drop in
Columbia County, where floodwater forced an evacuation in the town
of Caledonia. Residents there are now returning.
