Four young agricultural leaders have been appointed to the Wisconsin Farm Bureau’s Young Farmer & Agriculturist Committee.

Ryan Dolan of Iowa County, Allen Dornacker of Washington County, Teresa Hanson of Washburn County, and Joe Wollinger of Green Lake County were appointed to their new leadership roles by the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation’s Board of Directors.  Their terms begin at the WFBF’s Annual Meeting, Dec. 4-6, in Wisconsin Dells.

Dolan is a member of the Iowa County Farm Bureau. He and his wife, Krista, are in a family dairy farm partnership and have one son. Ryan has a degree in agricultural business with an emphasis in commodity marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.

Dornacker is a member of the Washington County Farm Bureau.  He and his wife, Nancy, are in a partnership with Allen’s father at Dornacker Prairie Acres.  They milk 120 cows and raise 80 Holstein steers and 890 acres of corn, soybeans, wheat alfalfa and oats.  The Dornackers have two children, Kate and Jack.

Hanson works as a dairy nutritionist for Crystal Creek Inc. in Spooner, and is a member of the Dunn County Farm Bureau. She graduated with a major in agricultural education and a minor in animal science from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. In her free time she helps out on her family’s 150-cow dairy farm in Elk Mound.

Wollinger currently serves as they Green Lake County Farm Bureau’s Young Farmer & Agriculturist chairman. He and his wife, Christy, have one daughter, and farm in partnership with their neighbor. Wollinger has a degree from Moraine Park Technical College in farm business and production management.

The Young Farmer & Agriculturist Committee is made of nine couples or individuals (ages 18-35) from across the state. Their goal is to get more young farmers and agriculturists acquainted with and involved in Farm Bureau. They carry out a variety of statewide initiatives, such as conferences, contest and award programs.

“Farm Bureau thrives because it is made up of the best and brightest in agriculture. This new crop of emerging leaders is a great addition to the YFA Committee,” said Bill Bruins, Wisconsin Farm Bureau President.
