A new tool Wisconsin farmers used to reach out to non-farm consumers has been a success according to new data released.

The Wisconsin Farmers Feed US “Free Groceries for a Year!” 90-day sweepstakes came to a strong close this week after offering consumers the chance to view eight different videos from farms across the state.

During the campaign, Wisconsin consumers had the opportunity to register to win the $5,000 in free groceries, offered by Wisconsin’s farmers.  The winners haven't been announced, but many consumers accessed the information.

Here are the results:

·         107,199 sweepstakes registrations

·         7,385 Wisconsin consumers who have chosen to “opt-in” for future recipes, newsletter, and promotional information from Wisconsin’s farmers

·         687 Facebook fans, with approximately 139,530 friends

·         188 Twitter followers, with approximately 73,320 followers

·         That’s a total of 8,260 Wisconsin consumers who can be quickly contacted about future promotions and sweepstakes!
