All Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources offices will close Monday for a furlough day.

The state government-wide furlough day is the fifth of eight
that cut across all agencies at once. Gov. Jim Doyle has ordered
agencies to select eight additional furlough days on their own as
well.

The furloughs are designed to alleviate the state's budget woes.
DNR wardens will remain on duty. State parks, forests and trails
will remain open as well.

Anyone looking to buy a state hunting or
fishing license on Monday can visit one of 1,400 retailers who
offer them, go to the DNR's web site or call 1-877-945-4236.
