Meister Cheese announced it has achieved approval to manufacture High Level Kosher cheeses, allowing the company to increase its diverse range of specialty products.

Meister Cheese’s “Cholov Yisroel” status means the company is now certified for Kosher Supervision of the highest level, including Kosher for Passover. Working in partnership with a number of Kosher companies and their respective Supervising Rabbinical Agencies, Meister Cheese looks forward to providing high quality Kosher cheese from Southwest Wisconsin.

“We are pleased to now offer Kosher Supervision of some of the finest cheeses in the world,” said Jeff Jump, Chief Financial Officer, Meister Cheese. “This new certification demonstrates the diversity of our capabilities, the willingness of our local dairy producers to try something out of the ordinary, and our willingness to service customers with unique challenges.”

Meister Cheese is a premier manufacturer of award-winning specialty cheeses conceived, created, and packaged at its state-of-the-art facility in southwestern Wisconsin.  A 14,000 sq. ft. plant expansion currently underway will allow for increased production for a growing list of new customers, many of whom are interested in cheeses made from Meister’s “A Triple F”, or “Animal Friendly Family Farms” program. The program is a partnership with Scenic Central Milk Producers, and recognizes premium, high quality milk produced using ethical and sustainable methods by Wisconsin dairy farms.

The company earned four medals this year at the World Championship Cheese Contest, including a gold medal for its Colby Jack Longhorn. Meister Cheese is recognized repeatedly at national and international cheese competitions for crafting premier, award-winning cheeses.
