Farm News: Hunters Need To Look For Other Crops

Authorities are warning fall hunters, hikers and anglers to watch out for marijuana farms in the woods.

State agents and local police raided a massive pot farm in the
Chequamegon -Nicolet National Forest in northeastern Wisconsin in August. State Department of Natural Resources Chief Conservation Warden Randy Stark says some growers may still be at it elsewhere in the state and could be armed.

He says people should be on the lookout for huts, tents and
equipment such as water jugs and chemical containers.

Anyone who spots anything that doesn't look right should walk away, record any
license plates and GPS coordinates, and call local police or the
DNR's confidential tip line, 1-800-TIP-WDNR.
