Farm News: National Proficiency Winners In WIcommentsPosted: 10.26.2010 18 Wisconsin FFA members waited for final results on National Proficiency Awards from the National FFA Convention - and several got great news! Three Wisconsin FFA members came home with national proficiency awards in their specialized areas! Students can compete for awards in 47 areas* covering everything from Agricultural Communications to Wildlife Management. Each award area has two categories, placement and entrepreneurship. Placement proficiency awards are given to those whose SAEs (supervised ag experiences) are related to employment, apprenticeships, or internships at an agribusiness or agriculture-related organization. Entrepreneurship proficiency awards are given to those whose SAEs are related to ownership of an agribusiness or agriculture-related organization. Proficiency awards are given out at the local, state and national levels. National Proficiency award winners included:
