Farm News: Farm Bureau Leader PassescommentsPosted: 11.16.2010 The Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation announced on Monday that one of their long time board of directors members had passed. Gary Steiner was elected to the WFBF Board of Directors in 1991 to represent District 4 on the board, which includes Eau Claire, Buffalo, Trempealeau, Jackson, La Crosse and Monroe counties.
Gary lived on a 773-acre dairy farm near Mondovi that he had sold to their sons, Fred and Paul.
Gary was president of the Buffalo County Farm Bureau from 1986 to 1991. He is a 1951 graduate of UW-Madison with degrees in accounting and business education.
Gary also served as the chair the Buffalo County Board of Adjustments and on the Board of Directors for the Bank of Alma.
Gary died on Nov. 14, 2010 and was preceded in death by his wife, Betty. They had six children.
