Landmark Services Cooperative is pleased to announce that Cleary Building Corporation has chosen to become the headline sponsor for Landmark’s 2010 Calf and Heifer Academies scheduled for December 2, 3 and 9.  

The theme of this year’s Calf and Heifer Academy is  "Taking Calf Management to New Heights" and it will feature keynote speaker, Dr. Lance Fox, a veterinarian and Dairy Technical Service Manager for Alpharma Animal Health who recently scaled Mt. Everest,  who will share both the inspirational story of his climb and how it applies to getting peak performance from your calf and heifer operation.

“We are excited to have Cleary Building Corporation support Landmark and area dairy producers in sponsoring this event,” Said John Binversie, Dairy Team Leader for Landmark’s Animal Nutrition Division.  “As a member-owned cooperative, we try to bring our producers the most value possible and having this kind of outside support helps us take these events to the next level.”  

Cleary Building Corporation was founded in 1978 to offer clients a quality building that satisfied their needs at an affordable price. Cleary Building Corp.’s world headquarters and flagship manufacturing plant are located in Verona, Wisconsin.  Cleary’s pre-engineered structures are popular with many area dairy producers in Wisconsin.  

Landmark and Cleary will also feature Todd McDonough and Gary Geisler as speakers during the 2010 Calf and Heifer Academies.  Todd is the National Account Sales Manager for Land O'Lakes Animal Milk Products and works directly with commercial dairies, custom calf raisers and nutritional dairy consultants throughout the US on calf and heifer improvement plans. Gary Geisler is the Regional Calf and Heifer Specialist for Land O'Lakes and Purina feeds and specializes in building better heifers for today and beyond.

For the convenience of area producers, Landmark and Cleary will host the 2010 Calf and Heifer Academies at three different sites throughout south central Wisconsin with similar formats at each one.
