Farm News: Farmers Still Have Time For Community Giving

As the holiday season continues - Wisconsin farmers in certain areas are being reminded that they can really give to their community - and it doesn't cost them a thing!

The philanthropic arm of Monsanto is asking growers to suggest to them local community groups that might benefit from up to $2,500.  All it takes is a call from the farmer.

gives farmers in more than 1,200 eligible counties across 38 states the opportunity to win $2,500 for their favorite community non-profit organization.  
 

America’s Farmers Grow Communities Program 
In Wisconsin, 53 counties are eligible which include: Dane, Grant, Green, Iowa, Jefferson, Kenosha, Lafayette, Racine, Rock, Walworth, Adams, Barron, Brown, Buffalo, Calumet, Chippewa, Clark, Columbia, Crawford, Dodge, Dunn, Eau Claire, Fond Du Lac, Green Lake, Jackson, Juneau, Kewaunee, La Crosse, Manitowoc, Marathon, Marinette, Marquette, Monroe, Oconto, Outagamie, Pepin, Pierce, Polk, Portage, Richland, Sauk, Shawano, Sheboygan, St. Croix, Taylor, Trempealeau, Vernon, Washington, Waukesha, Waupaca, Waushara, Winnebago, and Wood.

 A total of $132,500 will be donated in

Wisconsin.

One winner will be drawn from each of Wisconsin’s 53 eligible counties.
