An organization that works to grow Wisconsin's dairy industry has elected some new faces, and retained familiar friends on their board of directors.

The members of the Dairy Business Association (DBA) had three open positions on their board of directors - and this week selected Mike Gerrits of Country Aire Farms in Greenleaf as a new director. Country Aire Farms milks approximately 2,200 cows in a rotary parlor south of Green Bay.

John Pagel of Pagel's Ponderosa Dairy, LLC of Kewaunee was re-elected to the board for another three year term.  Pagel's Ponderosa Dairy is considered the states largest single-family owned dairy operation.  Pagel's Ponderosa Dairy accomodates approximately 3,600 cows.

DBA also reserves a seat for corporate representation.  That board spot will be held again by Mike North of First Capitol Ag in Platteville.  North was also re-elected to a three year term.
Jerry Meissner of Chili remains president of the group.  His family dairy, Norm-E-Lane, Inc., covers 4,000 acres and milks approximately 1,600 cows.  Norm-E-Lane was started by Jerry's parents, Norm and Elaine, outside of Marshfield.

Greg Steele of AgStar Financial Services remains Treasurer and Jen Keuning from Conestoga-Rovers and Associates (CRA) is Secretary.

Dairy Business Association encompasses approximately 900 members.
