The Department of Natural Resources’ new secretary says she plans to establish a team to help businesses relocate in Wisconsin.

DNR Secretary Cathy Stepp says in a statement the team will help any business that wants to come to the state navigate the DNR’s permit process. She stresses that businesses shouldn’t assume all needed permits will be granted, but companies can assume the DNR will assist them with a positive attitude.

Stepp also says she wants to "reinforce and expand" the agency’s 7-day-a-week customer call center and its Green Tier program, which streamlines inspections for companies that adopt environmental protection plans.
