The 6^th Annual Dairy Business Association's (DBA) Expansion Symposium will be held February 24^th & 25^th, at Lambeau Field in Green Bay.  The simple goal of growing Wisconsin's dairy industry is the charge DBA is leading at the 2011 Symposium. Following two years of low milk prices and increasing costs for corn and fertilizer, farmers need the skills necessary to help protect and grow their livelihoods.  This year's Expansion Symposium will give attendees the information they need to keep their dairies progressive and profitable.  

The event kicks off on Thursday, February 24^th with a variety of topics ranging from cash flowing through rough times and being a good neighbor to increasing exports and US federal policy impacts to Wisconsin farmers.  At 12:00 pm Congressman Reid Ribble, and recent appointment to the US Agriculture Committee, will hold a Town Hall Meeting.  Ribble will share his plans to help Wisconsin dairy farmers and listen to feedback from attendees to hear firsthand what needs to be done in Washington.  The first day ends with a cheese reception, dinner, networking opportunities and trade show exhibits.

Trade show displays throughout the symposium provide vendors and organizations the opportunity to showcase their products and services and allows 600 attendees to see the latest industry trends. 

Friday, February 25^th holds another great variety of speakers presenting topics on the necessity of estate planning, animal well being and eating meat, along with the responsibilities involved in selling cows to market.  Finally to wrap up the event, one dairy producer will be the lucky winner of a $1,000 Cash Give-A-Way.
