Hopefully Wisconsin's weather will be gentle with kids looking to experience the tradition of ice fishing for their first time.

This weekend - kids around southeastern Wisconsin will get a
chance to learn about ice fishing. The state Department of Natural Resources will hold free clinics
at park ponds and lagoons around Milwaukee and Waukesha counties on
Saturday. The clinics will run for 45 minutes and begin every hour
on the hour starting at 9 a.m. The last class is set to begin at 2
p.m.

Participants will learn about how to use ice fishing equipment,
fishing techniques, knot tying and safety. Equipment and snacks
will be provided.
