The Fond du Lac Agriculture Showcase will be held Saturday, March 5, at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds Recreation Building. The event is scheduled to run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Admission is $2, with children 10 and under admitted free. The Fond du Lac Area Association of Commerce Agri-Business Council sponsors the event.
This year’s theme is “Past, Present & Future: A Historical Walk Through Agriculture.” The Agribusiness Council has joined forces with the Malone Heritage Museum and Fond du Lac’s Galloway House. Items used in agriculture in years gone by, historic photos and memorabilia and other items will be displayed throughout the building.
The family event encourages people to take a walk through the history of agriculture throughout the Fond du Lac area and beyond.   Sponsors of the event include Festival Foods, the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board and the Agri-Business Council.
Show goers will have the opportunity to visit with more than 60 agribusiness vendors and sample cheese, sausage and beverages, most produced in and around the Fond du Lac County area. The cheesecake contest entries will also be on display.
Kids attending the event can participate in the coloring contest, face painting, and the Agri-Land Coop petting zoo.
The line-up on the Festival Foods Main Stage and “Tot Spot” area includes the following:
9:30 am                       Danielle Dale, Wisconsin Honey Queen
10:00 am                     Fond du Lac Police Department presentation, featuring their specially trained K-9 dogs
11:00 am                     Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue, featuring Patches the Fire Dog and his fire engine Pumper.
