Wisconsin’s February milk price is expected to average $18.90 per hundredweight (cwt.) or about $1.62 per gallon. This price is $2.70 higher than January’s price of $16.20 per cwt. and $2.90 more than February 2010.

The expected U.S. milk price for February is $18.40 per cwt., or about $1.58 per gallon. This is up $1.70 from January and is 50 cents lower than Wisconsin’s price.

All of the major milk producing states are pre-dicting a price increase from January to February.

Wisconsin and Minnesota are anticipating the largest increases in price. Both states are expected to be up $2.70 per cwt. California is predicted to be up $2.35 per cwt., while Idaho’s price will increase by $2.00
