Wisconsin wildlife officials are looking for volunteers to help protect sturgeon from poachers during spawning season.

The Department of Natural Resources recruits volunteers every
spring. They'll work from around mid-April through early May as
sturgeon from the Lake Winnebago system migrate to spawning sites
on the Wolf River.

Guards work around the clock in 12-hour shifts in groups of two.
They'll be issued food, guard hats and radios.
