Casey Langan has been named the Executive Director of Public Relations for the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation.

Since joining the Farm Bureau in 2007, Langan has worked as the organization’s spokesman. Last year he became the editor of the Farm Bureau’s Rural Route magazine. He will now serve on Farm Bureau’s management team and will oversee its Public Relations Department.

“Casey has deep roots in agriculture. As our spokesperson he has shown his unique ability to communicate our message to Wisconsin’s consumers, lawmakers and media,” said Bill Bruins, Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation President.

“I look forward to continuing to serve Farm Bureau members and having a career that allows me to work in the worlds of agriculture, journalism and public policy,” Langan said.

Before joining the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation, Langan worked as a research and legislative assistant in the State Assembly for State Representatives Debi Towns and Jeff Mursau. Prior to that, he was a reporter for the Daily Jefferson County Union and a regional editor for The Country Today

Langan is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin‑Whitewater with a bachelor’s degree in public relations. The Edgerton native spent much of his youth on his grandparents’ dairy and tobacco farm. He received the American FFA Degree in 1994 and is a graduate of the Wisconsin Rural Leadership Program. He and his wife, Amanda, live in Madison.
