Results Broadcasting’s Family of Radio Stations announced the 27th Annual Farm Woman of the Year on Wednesday, March 30th at a luncheon inside the Jackson Point Sports Bar and Grill at Crystal Springs in Seymour. The 2011 Farm Woman of the Year winner is Marlene Krohlow of Black Creek, Wisconsin.

Results Broadcasting’s 4 local radio stations, WTCH-AM 960/96.5 FM; "The Bee" 99.3 FM WOWN; "1380, The Lounge" WOTE-AM; Frog Country 92.3 FM WJMQ gave their listeners an opportunity to nominate area farm women who they thought would be most deserving of this award.

This year’s Farm Woman of the Year, along with her husband Craig, have a dairy farm in Black Creek where they raise and milk registered Holsteins. They have 3 children: Ryan, Tiffany, and Travis. The Krohlow’s farm over 300 acres and have been farming for 30 years.

Results Broadcasting Station Manager, Eric Voight, stated during the luncheon, "Marlene’s involvement with the management of their operation, her family, and many farm related organizations brought her nomination to the top of the list."

The luncheon was attended by this year’s Farm Woman of the Year sponsors, Krohlow’s family and friends, and representatives from the radio stations.

Marlene was nominated by her sister, Rogene Wegner.

Voight added, "In partnership with farmers throughout Northeast Wisconsin and in dedication of serving our listeners, the radio stations are proud to continue to promote farming and being a loyal friend of the farmer".
