One of the community benefits to hosting the state's largest outdoor agricultural event is the scholarship monies it provides back to the host area.

Wednesday during the Wisconsin Farm Technology Days annual meeting in Madison, the board presented Erin Ingli of Elmwood with a $2,000 check for her education expense.  During the 2010 Wisconsin Farm Technology Days in Pierce county - Ingli was very involved in volunteering at the show.  She helped with fundraising efforts, sold raffle tickets, worked in the show food tents, and supervised other young volunteers in the youth tent.

Ingli was selected from a field of seven great applicants. 

Ingli is currently wrapping up here freshman year at UW-River Falls where she's majoring in Agricultural Business.  She is a 2010 graduate of Spring Valley High School.

Aside from the WFTD show - Ingli also spends time in 4--H, the Spring Valley Food Shelf, Red Cross Blood Drives, and highway roadside clean-up projects.
