Equity Cooperative Livestock Sales Association along with their patron members
have combined efforts to financially support cancer research & care through the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center.

The UW Carbone Cancer Center is recognized throughout the Midwest and the nation as one of the leading innovators in cancer research, quality, patient care and active community involvement.

At ten annual district meetings in March, producer-members were allowed an opportunity to buy a $1 ticket for the grand prize, a Bonnie Mohr signed print, The Home Place. Equity Livestock matched all contributions and recently contributed $788 to the UW Carbone Cancer Center.

The district meetings provided members with the opportunity to connect with fellow members; become informed about the cooperative’s 2010 operations and financial results; hear from local market manager(s); voice opinions about the future direction of the organization; and in four districts, elect one of their fellow members to the regional board of directors.
