U.S. Marshals have seized cheese products from a Wisconsin company after an inspection found evidence of rodent infestation.

Court documents show that the marshals seized cheese products at Brunkow Cheese of Darlington on Tuesday and Wednesday. Brunkow Cheese manufactures, packs, labels and distributes cheese products.

The U.S. Attorney's Office filed a complaint requesting the seizure after inspectors for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration found evidence of rodent infestation in February.
The FDA says a follow-up inspection in late April found the company took corrective action to remedy many of the February violations, but had not resolved the rodent contamination problem.

Joe Burns, a cheesemaker at Brunkow, says the company's products
have not been recalled. Burns says the company is working with the FDA to ensure all precautions are taken.
