Farm News: Looking For The Next Great Cheesemakers!commentsPosted: 06.06.2011 Interested in pursuing a career in the cheesemaking industry? Then plan now to attend one of two training workshops in Menasha and Monroe to prepare for a job in the dairy processing sector.
The Dairy Business Innovation Center is offering two one-day Dairy Processing Training Workshops in June. The workshops feature classroom training and an afternoon cheesemaking facility tour.
The seminars are made possible through funding from the Workforce Investment Act and the Workforce Development Board of South Central Wisconsin, which identified dairy training for displaced workers as a priority. The sessions will be led by industry experts and provide an introduction to the cheesemaking industry. Current cheesemakers will describe a typical work day and provide information on available jobs, company benefits and opportunities for advancement.
The workshops will take place at two different locations. Registration is $10 and includes classroom training, a box lunch, and afternoon cheesemaking facility tour.
