Farm News: Ag Open Slated For SeptembercommentsPosted: 06.17.2011
The 14th Annual Wisconsin Ag Open hosted by the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Foundation will be held on Monday, September 12, at the Oaks Golf Course in Cottage Grove. The golf outing raises funds for the Ag in the Classroom program, Young Farmer and Agriculturist activities, and other leadership and education programs supported by the Farm Bureau. New for this year’s Ag Open will be a silent auction and box lunches on the course.
The Wisconsin Ag Open is for farmers, agribusiness professionals and other individuals who support agriculture in Wisconsin to have a day of fun and raise money to support worthy youth and educational programs. All proceeds from the outing will go to the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Foundation.
The Wisconsin Ag Open begins with a shotgun start at 10:30 a.m. The awards program, appetizers and prizes will follow the game. Registration is $100 and includes 18 holes of golf with cart, box lunch, appetizers, contests and door prizes. Sponsorships are also available ranging from $50 to $1,000.
The registration deadline is August 19. Please note that only 120 registrations will be taken this year to insure a pleasant golfing experience and pace on the course. Register by contacting Darlene Arneson at darneson@wfbf.com, 608.828.5719, or download a registration form on the Foundation page at www.wfbf.com.
