Landmark Services Cooperative, headquartered in Cottage Grove, has struck up a new arrangement with Feed Country, LLC of Cassville.
The cooperative says the Casville location will be their newest Animal Nutrition location. Feed Country, is a full-service bag and bulk retail feed outlet that serves customers throughout Grant County, Crawford County, and Clayton County. The facility has been owned and operated by Larry and Elaine Campbell for the past seven years.
Over the past few months, Larry had started to look for a partner to continue helping Feed Country grow – and that’s where the Landmark partnership enters in.
Grant County is one of the largest counties in the state of Wisconsin in terms of cattle numbers as well as acres in crop production. “We saw our customers growing their farming operations and we felt a need to keep growing with them,” said Larry. “We wanted a local partner that had same values as we did and Landmark’s Animal Nutrition team is the right fit, at the right time.” Feed Country’s transition to becoming a part of the Landmark team will take place on August 1, 2011. “The biggest changes Feed Country customers will see is a new sign and a new name; the same staff, facilities and great local service will remain in place” said Larry.
In addition to the products and services that Feed Country currently has through Doboy and US Feeds, Landmark’s Animal Nutrition team will bring new offerings such Forward Contracting for Feed Ingredients, Calf and Heifer Specialist Management and a comprehensive Forage Management Program directly to Feed Country customers.
In coming months, Landmark will explore adding additional services to the Cassville location which may include Energy and Agronomy as well as expanding the line-up of Animal Nutrition products and services for the Grant County area.
