The World Beef Expo, in its’ 19th year, has announced a new venue for cattle sales offering both buyers and sellers incentives. New this year will be an exhibition of sale cattle, followed by live auction that will flow continuously through the sale offering, culminating in the selection the over-all Grand and Reserve Sale Female, Grand and Reserve Prospect Steer. Buyer and seller of these champions will split a jackpot payout.
To provide buyers an opportunity to view the cattle on the move, sale day will begin with a show of the sale offering to determine our division Grand and Reserve Champion Females and Prospects. Grand and Reserve females of each breed and prospects from this show will have the opportunity to compete for the post-sale jackpot and over-all champion honors. The World Beef Expo Sale is open to all breeds and prospect steers and heifers. Those with less than ten consignments will show and sell in an AOB format.
A Futurity Show will be held in 2012 for this year’s sale open females returning to World Beef Expo to compete against each other for top honors and a second jackpot payout. Each year buyers and sellers, through the WBE Sale, will have the opportunity showcase their breeding program. The World Beef Expo is one of the largest breed shows in the Midwest, offering fourteen Open Breed Shows, commercial and AOB shows; educational seminars; a diverse trade show; breed and prospect sales; Youth Sweepstakes contests; and Junior cattle show. People of all ages will show, sell, buy and enjoy a weekend full of family fun at the World Beef Expo, September 23-25, Wisconsin State Fair Park, West Allis.
