Farm News: Farm Tech Sites Suffers Wind Damage

The Marshfield News Herald is reporting this morning that severe weather over the 4th of July weekend has toppled some of the tents already in place for next week's Wisconsin Farm Technology Days.

Stu Muck, ag meterologist with the WI Farm Report, confirmed reports with the national weather service of high winds clocked just west of the actual site for the big show.  "The National Weather Service show winds of over 50 miles an hour that hit in Clark and Taylor counties,"  Much says, "so tents in an open field aren't going to stand up very well against those gusts."

The good news is that the crews working clean-up on the site have beautiful weather the rest of this week to restore order to the site.  Keith Langenhahn, an area dairy farmer and chair of the Marathon County Farm Tech Executive Committee, said that they had most of the clean up completed over the weekend.
