Farm News: Volunteers For Agriculture Announce EndorsementscommentsPosted: 07.15.2011
The Volunteers for Agriculture Committee, the political action arm of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation, has announced its endorsements in Senate recall elections scheduled for August 9.
“The VFA endorsed five State Senators in their recall elections for their long-standing support and strong advocacy for Wisconsin farm families and agriculture,” said Paul Zimmerman, Executive Director of Governmental Relations for the Wisconsin Farm Bureau.
The VFA endorsed five incumbents in the State Senate:
“Senators with their mix of agricultural experience, small business background and real-world common sense are an asset to their constituents and our state as a whole,” Zimmerman said.
The Volunteers for Agriculture Committee is comprised of 18 farmers from across the state. The Volunteers for Agriculture was formed to give farmers a more direct role in electing leaders who best represent agriculture’s interests.
