A special forum designed to flag challenges - and share success - is coming up this September in Wisconsin Dells.

The forum will feature Steven Deller and Bruce Jones from UW-Madison's Department of Agriculture and Applied Economics, and speakers from the newly formed Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation and the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection's Agricultural Development Division. 

Afternoon breakout sessions are designed to bring representatives from the 17 Ag Enterprise Areas (AEAs) together to share information on recent activities, discuss common challenges, identify possible next steps, and to provide step by step guidance to communities interested in developing a successful Agricultural Enterprise Area petition.

The intended audience includes: 

• Landowners, petitioners, local officials, and county staff within designated AEAs
• Community leaders interested in forming AEAs
• State level and local farm and economic development organizations and businesses
• Other interested individuals

The forum is scheduled for Tuesday, September 27th at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells. Registration materials will be available soon!
