Leftover permits for the fall turkey season will go on sale Saturday. The state Department of Natural Resources says the agency issued about 41,330 permits through its annual drawing, leaving about 54,370 permits for sale. Hunters can buy only one per day but there's no limit on total permits they can purchase. The permits cost $5 for 10- and 11-year-olds, $10 for state residents and $15 for non-residents. Hunters can purchase the permits through the DNR's online licensing center on the agency's website, from licensed agents and at DNR service centers. |
