Farmers, professionals, and others interested in the basic startup and production practices involved in dairy goat production should plan to attend the dairy goat workshop scheduled for September 22^nd. The meeting will be held at the Log Cabin in Bangor from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

 

Presenters from UW-Extension, Department of Ag Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP), and others will present the following topics:

·          General Dairy Goat Management and Farm Setup

·          Basic Dairy Goat Nutrition

·          Milkhouse Regulations and Licensing

·          Milk Quality and Udder Health
