State wildlife officials are looking for ideas on how to update their beaver management plan.

The Department of Natural Resources is planning four open houses around the state later this month. People will get a chance to review the state's current management plan and offer input on updates. DNR officials want to hear thoughts on damage control as well as beavers' impact on wetlands, water quality, disease and agriculture.

The open houses are set for Sept. 20 in La Crosse, Sept. 22 in Oshkosh, Sept. 28 in Rhinelander and Sept. 29 in Hayward.
