The opportunity to vote for your favorite county fair and help generate funding for local youth service projects will end on September 23rd!
Go to badgerlandfinancial.com, click on the “Your County Fair is Counting on You” link under the Customer Corner and vote daily! Youth organizations from the five counties with the most votes will be given the opportunity to submit funding requests for service projects that directly benefit their local county fairs. Total funding to be allocated to each of the top five vote-getting counties is as follows: first prize $3,000; second prize $2,500; third prize $2,000; fourth prize $1,500; and, fifth prize $1,000.
In 2010, Badgerland Financial awarded a total of $6,000 to county fair youth service projects in the top three vote-getting counties: Crawford, Columbia and Waupaca. Service projects included landscaping to fairgrounds, petting zoo enhancements, improved signage and displays for youth project areas and facility/structure upgrades.
