Three young agricultural leaders have been appointed to the Wisconsin Farm Bureau’s Young Farmer and Agriculturist Committee.

Tim Clark of Fond du Lac County, Brian Maliszewski of Trempealeau County and Nichole Rabitz of Manitowoc County were appointed to their new leadership roles by the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation’s Board of Directors. Their terms begin at the WFBF’s Annual Meeting, December 2-5, in Wisconsin Dells.

Clark, Fond du Lac County Farm Bureau member, is a District Sales Manager with Dairyland Seed; selling alfalfa, corn and soybeans in five counties in central Wisconsin. He also assists with operations at Clark Family Ag Services and Beef-Feedlot operations. He has a degree in agricultural economics and agricultural journalism from UW–Madison.

Maliszewski, Trempealeau County Farm Bureau member, completed his agronomy degree at UW-River Falls and started his own custom harvesting operation, doing planting, round baling, chopping, hay grinding, trucking and combining. Additionally, he runs 1,600 acres of owned and leased land and is a partner in his family’s beef and crop farm.

Nichole and Chuck Rabitz, Manitowoc County Farm Bureau members, are cash grain farmers of corn, barley and hay. Nichole has an elementary education degree from UW–Green Bay and Chuck has degrees in dairy science and agriculture journalism from UW–Madison. Currently, Chuck works at Denmark State Bank as an agricultural lender. They have three daughters, Audrey – 7, Olivia – 4 and Emily – 2.

The Young Farmer and Agriculturist Committee is made of nine couples or individuals (ages 18-35) from across the state. Their goal is to get more young farmers and agriculturists acquainted with and involved in Farm Bureau. They carry out a variety of statewide initiatives, such as conferences, contest and award programs.

“Farm Bureau thrives because it is made up of the best and brightest in agriculture. This new crop of emerging leaders is a great addition to the YFA Committee,” said Bill Bruins, Wisconsin Farm Bureau President.
