Farm News: Wisconsin Cow Tops International Jr Holstein Show

Remember - Wednesday, Farm Director Pam Jahnke is broadcasting from 9-noon with Merck Animal Health in the Expo Hall - booths 2411-2513.  From 1-4 Wednesday afternoon - catch up with the Farm Babe in the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board booth.  They're also in the Expo Hall - 6305-6307.

The International Junior Holstein Show kicked off judging classes during the first full day of World Dairy Expo - and a Wisconsin cow brought home top prize!

During the International Junior Holstein show, Judge Larry Tande of Medford, MN, and Associate Judge Bob Hagenow, Poynette, WI, placed a total of 226 entries.

Siemers Dundee Hilda 8669-ET, winner of the 125,000 lb. cow class, exhibited by Jordan Siemers, was named Grand Champion and received the Udder Comfort $500 Grand Champion Cash Award. The second placed 125,000 lb. cow, Budjon-Jk Edge Of Reason, shown by Jordan & Whitney Ebert, Algoma, Wisconsin, received Reserve Grand Champion honors.

There were other Wisconsin winners too!
