GRANT COUNTY — A 2-year-old boy was killed Monday in a farm accident in Grant County.
Soloman Fisher died after he fell off the cart he was riding on and was run over by a steel cart wheel or steel wagon wheel, according to a Grant County Sheriff's news release.
Soloman and three siblings were with their father, Levi Fisher, who was doing field work on their town of Mount Hope farm. Fisher was harvesting silage and had two mules pulling a cart as well as a wagon that was hitched to the cart, the report said.
The report said that as the team was traveling back toward the farm, Fisher saw some of his cattle had moved out to a field and jumped off the cart to attend to them. The report said the team of mules then began to return to the farm on their own and Soloman fell off the cart.
The accident remains under investigation.
