Farm News: Fritsch - Collegiate Discussion Meet WinnercommentsPosted: 11.23.2011
Taylor Fritsch will represent Wisconsin at the National Collegiate Discussion Meet on February 19 at the American Farm Bureau Federation’s Young Farmer & Rancher Leadership Conference in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Fritsch won the Wisconsin Collegiate Discussion Meet that took place on the UW-Madison campus on October 10. That qualified him to compete nationally where the public roundtable format tests participants’ abilities to express their ideas and opinions on the hottest issues driving agriculture.
Fritsch is a charter member, and current officer, of UW-Madison Collegiate Farm Bureau that was formed in 2010.
Fritsch is a sophomore majoring in agricultural economics and journalism. He grew up on his family’s Iowa County dairy farm near Dodgeville. He is a member of the Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity. Last summer he worked as an intern with the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation’s public relations division.
