Farm News: Get Your Christmas Tree From the UW Forestry ClubcommentsPosted: 11.30.2011 Time to deck the halls with green trees and red flowers. The Forestry Club will be holding their 35th annual Christmas Tree Sale December 2-4 in the UW Stock Pavilion. At the same time, the Horticulture Society will be selling poinsettias and holiday cacti. It’s a great way to shop. The sales floor is heated and you can drive in and get helping choosing your tree and tying it on your car. Tree species include Fraser Fir, Balsam Fir, White Pine as well as Fraser Fir Wreaths. Proceeds from the sale support student educational opportunities within the Department of Forest and Wildlife Ecology. At the same time, the Horticulture Society will be selling poinsettias and holiday cacti. Fair prices and a large selection. Check out their website to pre-order. Sale hours: Friday, Dec. 2 from 8 a.m.-8 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 3 from 8 a.m.-8 p.m.; Sunday, Dec. 4 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
