Farm News: End Of Year Donations - Think FFA FoundationcommentsPosted: 12.14.2011
Wisconsin has 18,464 FFA members – the largest membership in 27 years – and has proudly added three new chapters in 2011. This growth in agriculture education and FFA along with the challenging budgets at all levels means that FFA members need your help now more than ever.
“I invite you to financially support Wisconsin’s FFA members during the holiday season,” says Nicole Nelson, executive director of the Wisconsin FFA Foundation. “Annual Fund donors truly are the sustainers of Wisconsin FFA. We cherish these gifts and the opportunities they provide to all of the FFA student members who are preparing for successful careers in the agriculture, food and natural resources industry.”
The Wisconsin FFA Foundation Annual Fund welcomes any size donation from individuals and/or companies who support the FFA’s overall mission, values and goals. These gifts are the consistent stream of funding to cover core programming and urgent needs.
Contributions can be made as year-end donations and throughout the year. Checks can be mailed to the Wisconsin FFA Foundation; 1241 John Q. Hammons Drive, Madison, WI 53717. Gifts can also be made by debit card or credit card securely online (www.wisconsinffafoundation.org) or by calling the Wisconsin FFA Foundation office (608-828-5500).
“We recently started the option of recurring credit or debit card gifts. It’s so easy to give $10 or some other amount on a monthly basis by just signing up online or calling our office,” says Nelson. “The impact of that $0.30 per day could mean covering 25 members’ participation in Sectional Leadership Workshops.”
All donations are fully tax-deductible to the amount allowed by law. There are additional giving methods that offer donors a chance to support a specific program and/or receive recognition. For more information about these methods, go to www.wisconsinffafoundation.org/annual_giving.php or contact Amy Ryan, donor relations manager, at 608-828-5502.
