It's happened again!  A meeting scheduled for January 12th to focus on frac sand mining in Wisconsin is completely full and unable to talk walk up's!

The same strength in interest was obvious on December 1st when the WI Towns Association and WI Farmers Union co-sponsored their first dialog with citizens over the controversial process.

Although the January event is already full - interested parties can find Information and resources from the initial December 1 conference on-line through the Towns Association website.

“Local Town officials are faced with many challenges, as they attempt to understand this fast-growing industry, balance a range of interests and make good choices for the long-term welfare of their towns and communities,“ said Rick Stadelman, Executive Director of the WI Towns Association..

“This is an important project for the Farmers Union, because so many of our members are raising questions about how this new industry will affect agriculture and our rural communities,” said Tom Quinn, Executive Director of the Farmers Union. “The information on this subject is important not just for Town officials, but for farmers, town residents, and any other interested individuals.”
