Wisconsin Ag Secretary, Ben Brancel, is midway through his first visit to Vietnam.  As he waited for another plane - he joined Farm Director, Pam Jahnke, for a quick conversation on what's he's seen so far.  Brancel says the population of Vietnam is growing at an exceptional rate - and so is their concern over food safety and the desire for quality.

Brancel is joined on the mission by Jennifer Lu from the WI Department of Agriculture. Brancel told the WI Farm Report that the Vietnamese consumer is young, and concerned about food safety and food quality.  Brancel said that the average woman in Vietnam is actually more trusting of U.S. dairy products then their own breast milk for the nutrition of their children.

Brancel will be returning from Vietnam this Saturday.
