Posted: 01.06.2010

All FFA alumni members and possible new members are invited to join Sections 8 and 9 for a rewarding weekend of fun and activity sharing at the State FFA Alumni Convention, February 12-14, 2010.

This year’s convention, “Success Again in 2010,” will be held at the Holiday Inn in Manitowoc. Silent and live auctions on Friday evening will be preceded by a Friday night fish buffet. Saturday evening’s awards banquet will be followed by a live basket auction. Each evening will conclude with live entertainment. Friday night will feature the New Generation Polka Band from Pulaski, while KNX Party Band from Clintonville/Black Creek will take the stage on Saturday.

During the afternoon on Saturday, enjoy the workshops covering a variety of subjects. Paul Vidmar, Dale Carnegie director of training, will help you “Adjust to Change.” Jennifer Brinker from Focus on Energy will share ways to conserve energy on the farm and at home. A representative from the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board will provide an interactive approach to learning about some of the wonderful tastes and textures for select dairy products. The Wisconsin State FFA officers will lead school age children through some hands-on fun.

Renew old acquaintances and meet new ones while you join Sections 8 and 9 at the Holiday Inn in Manitowoc, February 12-13. To book a room, call 920-682-6000 and mention the reservation code: FFA. Room rates are $85 for single occupancy and $90 for two to four person occupancy. Rates do not include tax and are only reserved until January 15, 2010.

For more information or to register for the convention itself, go to http://www.wisconsinffaalumni.org and click on the Convention link. Early registrations must be postmarked by January 16, 2010.
