Wisconsin Farm Bureau members didn't come home with a bunch of Dodge trucks or cash prizes - but they still did make a great impression at the 91st annual American Farm Bureau Federations annual meeting that wrapped up in Seattle.

The Wisconsin Farm Bureau is proud to announce that Beth Porior of Oconto County finished in the ‘Sweet 16’ in the Discussion Meet competition. Wisconsin was also represented by dairy farmers Brian and Jodi Otto of Milladore in the Achievement Award contest, and Katie Reichling of Platteville in the Excellence in Agriculture competition. In addition, state Farm Bureaus were recognized for excellence in membership achievement and for implementing outstanding programs serving Farm Bureau members in 2009.

Wisconsin was one of the few states that received Awards for Excellence in all five eligible program areas: Agriculture Education and Promotion, Leadership Development, Member Services, Policy Implementation, Public Relations and Information.
