State agriculture officials are looking for
public comments on their large-farm rules.

The Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection
imposed minimum standards on setbacks, odors, emissions and manure
for operations with at least 360 or so cows and other similarly
sized farms in 2006.

The agency is required to re-evaluate the standards after four
years. It plans to hold public listening sessions in Madison, Eau
Claire, Oshkosh and Wausau in February and March. Anyone can
comment on the standards.

The department will then decide whether revisions are needed.
