Farm News: WI Honey Queen AnnouncedcommentsPosted: 01.26.2010
 The Wisconsin Honey Producers Association is proud to announce that Abby Tracy was selected as the 2010 Wisconsin Honey Queen. Abby is the 19 year old daughter of Jerry and Jackie Tracy of Watertown, Wisconsin. She is a freshman at the Madison Area Technical School where she is pursuing a degree in radiology. Prior to being selected as the Wisconsin Honey Queen, Abby served as the 2008 and 2009 Dodge/Jefferson County Honey Queen. In this role, she promoted the honey industry at local fairs and farmers’ markets and in schools.
Abby will spend the next year promoting the beekeeping industry in Wisconsin. She is available to speak and appear at fairs, festivals, and farmers’ markets. She will also give presentations in elementary, middle, and high schools about honeybees and the beekeeping industry. In January 2011, Abby will represent Wisconsin at the American Honey Queen competition at the American Beekeeping Federation Convention in Galveston, Texas.
