Farm News: Kimberly Meeting On Alfalfa Performance

For the last decade farmers on the east coast have been using Stoller technology to increase feed value and alfalfa tonnage. Dairy producers in Wisconsin will have an opportunity to learn about this program on February 25th in Kimberly.

Recent university studies and field trials have confirmed the results that farmers have experienced. In short, alfalfa crops that utilize Stoller Technology to enhance crop yield and health are also seeing improvements in milk production. Some farmers and dairy nutritionists even attribute better herd health to the enhanced alfalfa quality.

Dr. Ron Salzman, Stoller’s Director of Bio Science, will provide insight on the products and technology that works effectively in alfalfa and corn silage crops. Representatives from StollerUSA, Blue River Ag and Partners in Production will be on hand to answer questions and give input on the practical application of Stoller technology in the field.

“Profits are tight and farmers have little or no room for error,” explains Stoller’s Don Stork. “This advanced alfalfa program gives dairy farmers an edge in production that can help them to survive and succeed in these challenging times. It’s great to offer dairy farmers a program that really works for them.”

In addition to Stoller’s presentation, representatives from Partners in Production, LLC; Producer’s Choice and International Stock Food will be on hand to offer strategies for improved alfalfa management.
