Farm News: WI Pork Producer Now President-Elect

Doug Wolf of Lancaster has been elevated to president-elect of the National Pork Producers Council.

Wolf is a partner in Wolf L&G Farms LLC, with his wife Kris and son Shannon. They operate a 1,200-sow, farrow-to-finish unit that markets 24,000 hogs annually. The Wolf family farm includes a cow-calf herd, a feedlot, and 1,200 acres of corn, soybeans and alfalfa.

Wolf has served on the NPPC board of directors for the past four years. He has been active in the Wisconsin Pork Association, the Grant County, WI Pork Producers, the Wisconsin Farm Bureau and the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association.

Sam Carney from Adair, Iowa is currently serving as NPPC President.
