Several hundred gathered in support of raw milk at Monona Terrace Convention Center in Madison on Saturday. 

Advocates say that raw milk is a natural product that's being requested by consumers and should be allowed as a part of Constitutional rights.

Those against, say that its a matter of public health, and maintaining confidence in the food sector.

This week, the issue might come to a vote in Wisconsin. 

The bills, known as AB 628 and SB 434, have passed out of their respective committees, and could be scheduled for votes by the full Assembly and Senate over the course of the next two weeks. The Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection has created a panel of stakeholders to address the issue this year. Plus, there's been a Legislative Council study group focusing on the issue in the State Capitol.

The  Wisconsin Farm Bureau is urging its members to call their legislators next week and ask them not to pass any legislation on raw milk until after further review.
