Farm News: Spring Holstein Show Season Ready To RollcommentsPosted: 04.13.2010 The Wisconsin Holstein Association and breeders throughout the Midwest are getting ready to begin the show season of 2010. The 2010 Midwest Spring National Holstein Show will kick off the events April 16th and 17th at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Jefferson. With over 300 entries and exhibitors from up to six states, it is sure to be a fantastic show. The weekend will also feature the Midwest Red and White Holstein Show on Friday, April 16 starting at 10:00 a.m. The judge for this show will be Chad Ryan of Fond du Lac, WI. On Saturday, April 17 the Midwest Spring National Holstein Show will be held starting at 8:30 a.m. Judge Lynn Harbaugh will have the opportunity to place what is sure to be an exceptional lineup of Holsteins.
Youth can participate in a showmanship contest on Friday, April 16. There will be two age divisions in the showmanship contest, and youth can sign up for the showmanship contest during the show on April 16. Badger Dairy Club will be coordinating the showmanship contest, which will conclude with a sub sandwich party for all who participate and awards for the top three in each division.
