Farm News: Animal ID Tag Offer ExtendedcommentsPosted: 04.14.2010 The Wisconsin Livestock Identification Consortium is extending its no-cost paired visual and RFID tags offer until May 31, 2010. In the two months the paired tags have been offered, WLIC has been able to distribute 38,795 tags to dairy, beef, and swine producers across the state. For more information on the management benefits associated with RFID tags, please visit www.LivestockVantage.com. “There has been strong interest in the paired tags, so we are very excited that our supplier has decided to extend the offer. We want as many producers as possible to benefit from this program, and this will allow us to distribute even more paired visual and RFID tags to Wisconsin livestock producers,” said Robert Fourdraine, COO of WLIC. The offer is available for producers who have not fully participated in a WLIC program previously, and is available for a limited time and on a first come, first serve basis. WLIC asks that all tag applications be in by May 30, 2010. |
